Kayak rolling course in Grand Marais, MN

Description

Learn how to roll your kayak during this kayaking course. Kayak rolling is a half-day course that is designed for river and sea kayak hard shell, closed-deck designs. Students will learn the fundamental components of the roll and improve their bracing skills. While, we don’t guarantee that you’ll learn the roll during your first lesson, you will learn the fundamentals behind kayak rolling and by the end of the course be on your way to learning a roll. Some kaykers do get it their first try, but others take several sessions.

1 person: $200
2 people: $150 per person
3 to 5 people: $130 per person

Time: 8am to 12pm (4 hours)
Age limit: 13 and up. Must be 100 lbs.
Skill level: Essentials of Kayaking or equivalent experience as prerequisite.
Instructor to student ratio: 1:5 maximum.
Where to meet: Mink Lake beach.
Reservations: Advanced reservation and payment required.
The weather in the northland is dynamic, and if our guides determine it’s too bad, we will change locations or reschedule the class.
